Sum up their character in no more than 10 words:
Kind, stubborn, funny and loves spending time with people.
What impact have they had on your life?
Amazing! As Highland ponies are a rare breed, I decided that it was important to have a foal from her. I have learned so much about the breed and finding the right stallion to put her to. I was privileged enough to be allowed to use one of the Queen’s Balmoral Highland stallions.
How did they come into your life?
I have loved Highland ponies all my life and the Whitefield stud in Perthshire always produced my favourite type. I swore one day I would own one.
Why them? Why now?
When I happened to see that they had some available I knew the time was finally right. I went to have a look at a couple of potential young ponies and there were around 20 ponies in a huge field. They all came over to see us and Ginny walked right up to me and put her head on my shoulder, so I think she actually picked me!
